I would like to invite you to join us for our annual Christmas Reenactment on December 16th or 17th. Each evening we will offer free, forty minute tours of several scenes depicting the birth story of Jesus Christ. In each scene you will meet individuals who experienced the story first-hand and will hear their personal accounts of the story.
Following your tour please feel free to join me in our Family Center for holiday cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. While you are there, I would love to take a few minutes to answer any questions you may have about the Reenactment or our other ministries.

What happens on the tours?
Your journey begins with a brief welcome from a friend. This friend will share an overview of the events from Jesus’ birth story that you will be witnessing.
The Act of Loyalty
You will enter a busy marketplace managed by a gentleman named Zeke. Through a series of conversations, you will learn that many of the people roaming the market have little love for the Roman government currently controlling their city. Their hearts are anxious for a rescuer to arrive who will deliver them from danger.
You will also witness a conversation between Joseph and his friend, a Rabbi. They both know that Mary is pregnant, and they both know what Joseph is permitted, even encouraged to do, according to their Law. But because of his loyalty to God, Joseph is struggling to decide what action he will take with Mary.
The Act of Kindness
You will travel to an overfilled inn run by two of the kindest individuals in our story. Their inn is full, and their cook is flustered. By the time you meet them, they will have already allowed a young couple to spend the night in in their animal stable. They have tried to provide as quiet and peaceful a place as they possibly can for a young mother-to-be.
The Act of Praise
While these events are happening here on earth, in heaven the angels are anxiously awaiting their opportunity to declare the praise of God’s glory to a few lowly shepherds. They are thrilled to announce to the world that the Promised One, the Rescuer, has arrived. This small baby has come to restore God’s relationship with all humanity.
The Act of Love
You will visit a quiet stable and find time to consider just how special this newborn will be. His words and actions will personally touch thousands of lives. Through His death, billions of lives will receive a gift of love that only God could possibly offer. Jesus will end up being the Rescuer so many were waiting for … the Rescuer we all so desperately need.
Your journey concludes in our Family Center. You will find refreshments of cookies and hot beverages. Please feel free to stay as long as you would like; we have asked some of our church members to be available to answer any of your question. We have also asked them to share a small gift with your family; this is just another way for us to thank you for taking time to be with us this evening.
