Purpose
Calvary clubs is our Sunday night children's ministry designed for all children 3 years old through the 6th grade.
Through age-appropriate songs, Bible lessons, workbook activities, and games, your child will discover more about God's character abilities, desires, and promises. Our prayer is that your child's knowledge of God will impact their life for eternity.
Calvary Clubs seeks to...
- Deliver a clear gospel presentation of a personal relationship with Jesus
- Encourage spiritual growth to create a meaningful relationship with Jesus
- Enable parents to intentionally train their child from God's Word
- Allow our members opportunities to minister with and to one another
- Provide teachable moments through physical activity and team competition
- Help children create fun memories resulting from their time at church
What do we do?
We meet on Sunday nights, October through May, from 6:30 to 7:40 PM. We all start together for a time of songs and pledges to open the evening. Then the Sailors (3-4 years old) are dismissed to game time while the Voyagers (K-2nd) and Crusaders (3rd-6th) have a Bible lesson. After the Bible lesson, the Voyagers and Crusaders rotate between memory verse time and game time before everyone gathers together again for the closing. While the Crusaders and Voyagers are rotating, the Sailors also have a Bible lesson followed by a memory verse time.
During the closing, we might sing more songs or play a short game. We also recognize the children for the Bible memory work completed that evening. Each child receives a drawstring backpack which can be decorated with clips earned for Bible memory, personal devotions, and evangelism.
How can you join?
Just show up! If you have been here before, then we will help you get your hands on anything you may have lost since the last time. If you are new, we will ask for your name, address, grade, parents' names and other important information (in case we need to get in touch with your family). We will give you a workbook filled with verses, games, and information about what you must do to receive your own Calvary Clubs drawstring bag. Once you finish that workbook, we will give you another one filled with more verses and games for you to complete.
Parents
At times your child will need help with his or her workbook. They might need help with verses, evangelism, games, puzzles, prayer, devotions, or other items. Please feel free to join us any evening so that you can experience what your child will be doing each week.
